朝辭白帝彩雲間
千里江陵一日還
兩岸猿聲啼不住
輕舟已過萬重山

唐肅宗乾元二年（759）春天，李白因永王璘案，流放夜郎，取道四川赴貶地。行至白帝城，忽聞赦書，驚喜交加，旋即放舟東下江陵，故詩題一作“下江陵”。此詩抒寫了當時喜悅暢快的心情。
全詩給人一種鋒棱挺拔、空靈飛動之感。然而只賞其氣勢之豪爽，筆姿之駿利，尚不能得其圜中。 全詩洋溢的是詩人經過艱難歲月之後，突然迸發的一種激情，故雄峻迅疾中，又有豪情歡悅。
